Ziegler-Nichols Method for the Optimization of PPID Parameters
Abstract
Present work proposed the controller with only one gain to be tuned. This is known as the Pseudo-Proportional Integral Derivative (PPID) controller. The PPID controller is proposed with fixed value of KC. This KC is obtained by Ziegler-Nichols tuning method. The PPID is applied to damped pendulum model. Comparison of fixed PPID is done with the existing Recursive Least Square (RLS) estimator method.Keywords: PID, Ziegler-Nichols tuning method, automatic tuning, stability
