Abstract
Libraries in the past had only written or printed documents. Written documents are manuscripts. These documents are always kept away and are not shared with other libraries. The users are expected to visit the library for consultation. The other category; the books were also not loaned to everyone and they were seldom shared with other libraries. With the introduction of printing by movable types, books started appearing in good number and libraries have started accepting the concept of sharing their books with other libraries.
