Effect of NaCl Stress on Seedlings Growth and Biochemical Changes of Soybean (Glysin max) Co-3
Abstract
Present study was investigated the effect of NaCl stress on seed germination, pigments content, protein and proline content of soybean (Glycine max L.). The soybean plant was exposed to increasing concentrations of 0, 50, 100 and 150 mM NaCl salt stress. The 7th day old plant was exposed to salt stress. The results indicated that increasing concentrations of NaCl salt solution showed decrease in the percentage of germination, pigments concentration, root and shoot lengths, fresh and dry root weights and pigments.
Keywords: germination, proline, Glycine max L.
