Congenital Dislocation of Hip Treated by Salter's Innominate Osteotomy
Abstract
Sixteen patients with congenital dislocation of the hip were treated with a classic technique of Salter’s osteotomy, reduction of dislocation and to stabilize, K-wire fixation was used and Iliac Bone Graft was placed at osteotomy site. The patients were aged between 1.6 Years to four years. After a mean follow-up of 16 months (range 3–24 months) all patients had full bone healing and complete incorporation of Iliac Bone Graft with the Acetabulum. No patient had re-dislocation, subluxation or displacement of the graft.
