In communication sector, optical communication is playing a vital role since many years.Efficient transmission of data through optical fiber is one of the major concerns now days to the researchers. Several optical instruments are used to get efficient output after transmission. There are many kinds of optical amplifier. EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) amplifier is one of the mostly used amplifiers in the recent optical communication system. This paper focuses on observation of behavior of EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) Amplifier with the variation of Doping Concentration and Er doping radius. Unlike Raman Amplifier, the performance of EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) amplifier can be varied by varying the doping concentration instead of pump power. So, Doping concentration and doping radiushave been varied and the performances of the amplifier have been recorded and analyzed. OptiSystem (Version 13) have been used to create the virtual environment for simulation purpose.Md. Shoriful Islam, Ahmed Al Amin, Intisar Tahmid.
