Abstract

Plasmonics has special property of metallic nanostructures to allow manipulation and routing of light at nanoscale. In this paper, 1×2 and 1×4 splitters are designed using metal-insulator-metal (MIM) plasmonic waveguides. These proposed splitter designs could be used to conquer various filtering devices for high assimilation in surface plasmon polaritons based metallic surfaces.     Dr. Kumar is working as Assistant Professor at DIT University, Dehradun in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering since July, 2014. He received the Ph.D in the field of fiber optics from the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand in October 2014. He is working in the area of fiber optics communication and photonics devices. He has published several National and International Journals including many SCI Journals. He has also presented his work at various National and International Conferences and has attended a couple of workshops in his field of interest. He has got tremendous global exposure in his area of expertisation. To showcase his quest to invariably learn and adapt new trends and technologies featuring at global front, he has attended SPIE Photonic Europe 2014 in Brussels, Belgium, Frontiers in Optics/Laser Science (FiO/LS-2014) in Tucson, Arizona, USA, and FiO/LS-2015 in San Jose, CA, USA. He is a member of the IEEE, IEEE Photonics Society, OSA and SPIE. He is life member of Optical Society of India (OSI). He is the Faculty Advisor of the student chapters of two esteemed Optics societies (OSA & SPIE) at DIT University. He has completed two project sponsored of worth 6.4 lakh by  DIT University, Dehradun, India.
