Abstrakt

When one thinks of IoT, typically connected homes and connected community come to mind. There is lot more sectors in which IoT has made its presence and one such area is healthcare. Medical applications, however, are rapidly coming to forefront, too. From diagnostics and monitoring to medical delivery methods, the IoT sensors joints communication and sensors output to deliver functions that recently were only conceptual in nature. The monitoring of patients can be made more effective by clubbing IoT enabled devices with all the equipment used for healthcare and thus the data obtained from the devices can be used to figure out who needs the most hands-on attention. IoT enabled devices such as mobile based devices or wearable devices are used for recording the health data of the patients, and not only this, the hospitals, to keep track on patients and medical devices by using this technology.   Keywords: RFID, IoT, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
