Resumo

The use of composites for engineering components has increased significantly. The introduction of composite components can reduce weight and has the potential to reduce the through life cost of the component. Their overall performance is influenced by the constituent materials, their distribution and the interaction between them. To exploit the potential of composite material, it is important to understand the thermomechanical behavior. Therefore, this work is about thermoelastic response from composite specimens loaded on Universal Testing Machine and Infrared Thermal camera is used at room temperature for extracting quantitative full-field stress data from the thermal measurements. Keywords: Composite material, E-glass epoxy, thermomechanical, infrared thermography, NDTCite this ArticleBakhtiyar F.
