In this paper, use of fuzzy logic in the Taghuchi method for the optimisation of the wear parameters of aluminum alloy is explained. An experiment was conducted on three alloys viz. Al-25Zn-2.5Cu-5SiC, Al-25Zn-2.5Cu-10SiC, Al-25Zn-2.5Cu-15SiC. Experiments were carried out on standard pin-on-disc machine, at ambient temperature and under dry operating condition. The three process parameters like sliding velocity, load and sliding distance were optimized. In the Taguchi method, L27 orthogonal array was used to conduct the test. The Fuzzy logic method was used to find out the combination of parameters which gives us the minimum wear. Keywords: Cite this Article: Bhosale KC, Varade HP.
