We all know that sand casting is one of the oldest methods used for accurate and precise manufacturing of parts and components. Foundry industry in our country is suffering from poor quality and productivity in sand casting due to involvement of number of process parameters. In past years, trial and error method was used to reduce defects in solidification. To find and eliminate defect and problem is very difficult task. To reduce this effort, recent technological advancement uses computers and latest tools and techniques. Simulation is one of the techniques which use vector element method to predict the solidification phenomenon of the process, prior the pouring of metal. Cite this ArticleLadani Ketan B.
