A Review on Deviation Function Method
Schlagwörter:
Deviation Function, Lobe rotor pair, Conjugate pair, GerotorsAbstract
This review paper covers the method to develop a lobe rotor pair profile used in many mechanical mechanisms. Lobe rotor pairs are conjugate generated pairs. It means that for each lobe there exists a corresponding another lobe such that for each point on first lobe there is a point on another lobe having same velocity. Deviation function method is widely used to develop a lobe profile. Deviation function method is also used in some applications other than generating a geometrical conjugate lobe pair. Few applications like design of rotors for best sealing capabilities by reducing the trapping of fluid from high pressure to low pressure side, design of lobe rotor pair for specific flowrate for a given application and design of gerotors using deviation function method are discussed. These applications prove the versatility of deviation function method. This review paper covers the method to develop a lobe rotor pair profile used in many mechanical mechanisms.
