Detailed Modeling Concepts, Stability Analysis and Emerging Trends in Wind Farm: A Survey
Аннотация
Wind is omnipresent and found abundant in nature. This paper deals with an in-depth literature survey of wind energy conversion systems (WECS), their classification, and modeling of various sub-systems of WECS. The control methodologies adopted for transient, voltage, rotor angle, frequency and dynamic stability of WTGs connected to grid to remain within margins, is also studied. In addition to this, different controlling techniques for controlling grid side converter and rotor side converter are also studied in detail. Various maximum power point tracking methods and their mathematical modeling is also presented. Some new and emerging technologies of WECS are also dealt herewith such as self excited induction generator (SEIG) and full converter wind generator (FCWG). A special case study of studying transient stability of single phase micro-generation application connected to residential dwelling is also discussed. Lastly, modeling and simulations on various IEEE test systems are also presented. Keywords: Wind turbines (WT), doubly fed induction generator (DFIG), permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), wind turbine generator (WTG), wind energy conversion systems (WECS) Cite this Article Kruti Gupta, Kamal Kant Sharma, Inderpreet Kaur et al.
