Implementation of a Bidirectional Double-Boost DC-DC Converter with a High Conversion Ratio
Abstrakt
This paper presents the design and implementation of a Bidirectional double-boost DC-DC Converter for renewable energy applications with a high conversion ratio. The system’s main circuit is the bidirectional buck/boost converter which manages and controls both charging and discharging mode functions. With very simple control circuits, the high conversion ratio is achieved using Coupled Inductor technique. With the motto to achieve high conversion ratio, one power switch is controlled for discharging mode and two power switches is controlled simultaneously for charging mode. The maximum efficiency is obtained for both the modes. The design has been simulated and verified using Matlab R2010a. Keywords: Solar panel, MPPT, DC-DC converter, bidirectional buck/boost converterCite this Article Nivetha A., K. Balamurugan.
