Adolescence, a vital stage of growth and development, marks the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. Experiences with adolescence education in other parts of the world have shown that in addition to the normal school curriculum, what the students need are life skills to empower them. One of the broad areas of life skills is social skills. Social interactions become increasingly complicated as children move into adolescence. The normative survey method was used to study the awareness of social life skills of adolescent students of senior secondary level. The present study was conducted with 100 students of senior secondary adolescents measured by using social life skill scale developed by the investigator. On the basis of analysis and interpretation of data, it is concluded that senior secondary adolescent girls and boys are equally aware of social life skills.Pubblicato
