Abstract

Indians are gifted with an immense treasure in the form of the Scriptures.  However, the prevalent mind-set extols the value of Western thought as opposed to the Indian viewpoint.  The origin of this mind-set lies in pre-British India, when a concerted effort was made by the British to completely demolish the greatness of Indian thought embodied in the form of its education system.  This paper attempts to demonstrate the intellectual beauty personified in the form of the Tusli Ramayana (popularly known as the Ramcharitmanasa) by demonstrating the depth of a single verse of the scripture.
