Abstract

This work attempts a brief yet critical evaluation of the present education system vis-à-vis the ancient Indian education, striking at the limitations in former. The purpose is more accented towards to review of the ancient Indian education system aligned to the specifications cited by Swami Vivekanada, the guru of high spiritual order. Vivekanada  was a proponent of intellectual upbringing of students, with explosive enrichment of mind’s concentration and powers to knock out the knowledge from within. For he thought the manifestation of knowledge was much more essential than the cramming of facts, which were futile both in content and essence of learning. The present work is rather a more  holean analysis, attempting to underline the holistic, holy, and Lean aspects of academics necessary for augmenting processes of today’s education as future work, and must be targeted at improving capatence (capacity and competence), for which maintain quality (rightful and healthy), logistically learning environment  is vital.
