Resumen

The recent boom in building construction activity calls for a stupendous availability of energy to manage maintenance of temperature, and embodied energy of materials for construction. This work makes a case for cautious planning to reduce energy misuse in both construction and good counsel in maintenance thereof. Various issues and optionsfor energy-friendly infrastructure have been outlined. Arguing that the use of insulation is not effective, use of hollow bricks has been recommended and explored in terms of their freedom from mold and bacteria, humidity, and moisture. However, optimization of strategy and practices of construction are considered important, and subjects of muchdeeper consideration. Keywords: Insulation, Air gap, Ventilation, Hollow bricks, Dampness and fungus in buildings
