This paper presents Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE), a performance measurement approach in a manufacturing system. OPE evaluates the process parameters of continuous flow production that affect the performance and reliability of the process. Based on the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) concept, OPE focuses on the evaluation of production processes that involve human and machines. The developed OPE is validated through a case study ininjection molding (IM) industry. OPE plays a key role in improving the inefficiencies of a specific process. From the result of case study, the value of the improved OPE is 34.71% higher than that of the pre-improvement OPE. The findings of this study show the functionality of OPE in assessing the effectiveness of a process based on the availability and quality performance of continuous flow in a manufacturing system. Keywords: Performance measurement approach, Performance measurement, Continuous flow production semiautomated production line, Overall process effectivenessDownloads
