Server Based Operating System (OS) Research Direction for Future Smart World Using Internet of Things

Resumen

Communication and data processing over Internet has become a research issue to theresearchers of Internet of Things (IoT). Cloud computing is already familiar at present. Cloudcomputing offers servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and more, overthe Internet (“the cloud”). Companies offering these computing services over Internet (“thecloud”) and typically, charge for cloud computing services based on usage, similar to howyou are billed for water or electricity at home. Another term is distributed computing in whichcomponents located on networked computers, components communicate and coordinate theiractions by passing messages to serve the common goal. Some important electronic devicessuch as laptop, palmtop, cell phone and others perform their operations by the combination ofhardware and software. Inside these electronic devices, there is a communication link amongdifferent parts such as ROM, RAM, storage and processor. All communication links performlike a network and that is reliable. In this paper, we propose a noble research direction tomake a smart world by making the wireless network as reliable as physical link inside thedevices and running the OS as well as applications from the server. Cite this ArticleIstiaque Ahmed, Md.
