A Strip Feed Compact UWB Antenna with Triple Band Notched
Abstract
In this paper, a microstrip feed Ultrawide Band (UWB) antenna with triple notch band characteristic has been proposed. The proposed antenna has U-shaped stub on the radiating patch. The proposed antenna reduces the interference between UWB and WiMAX/WLAN/ITU. The propose antenna has a compact size of 26 x 27 mm2. The proposed antenna achieved an operating bandwidth (VSWR<2) from 2.68 to 12 GHz except notch band 3-3.85 GHz (WiMAX), 5-5.9 GHz (WLAN) and 8-8.8 GHz (ITU). The proposed antenna exhibits omnidirectional radiation patterns except notch bands, and makes it suitable for UWB applications.
