Biography

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Raghuwanshi is a Professor in the Electronics Engineering Department of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad at the University of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Optical Fiber Communication from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore University in 2008 and earned His postdoctoral from university of Then worked as a Assistant Professor in Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad Institute/University for 2010 Years. He is having 6 Years of Experience in the field of Electronics Engineering. His Area of Expertise includes: photonics. He is the author of books Contemporary Optical Fiber Technology and Numerical Study of Propagation in Optical Waveguides and Devices, recipient of any Grants, awards etc.

S. Jit has earned his B.E., M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Calcutta, West Bengal in 1993; Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India in 1995; and Institute of Technology (IT), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India in 2002 respectively. Dr. Jit has joined the Department of Electronics Engineering, IIT(BHU) (formerly IT-BHU), Varanasi as Lecturer in 1998 where he has been working as Professor since June, 2010. Dr Jit has published more than 120 papers in various peer reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. He has coauthored a book titled “Millman’s Electronic Devices and Circuits” published by the McGraw-Hill Publishing Company, New Delhi in 2007. He is the editor of a volume “Advances in Microelectronics and Photonics” published by the Nova Science Publishers, New York, USA in 2012. He has worked as one of the Guest Editors of the Special Issue on Narrow-Gap Semiconductors and Low-Dimensional Structures for Optoelectronic Applications (NAGAP) of The Scientific World Journal in 2014. His present research interests include modeling and simulation of short-channel SOI-MESFETs, multi-gate SOI-MOSFETs, ZnO thin-film based nanostructures for electronic, optoelectronic and gas sensing applications etc. Dr. Jit is a recipient of the INSA (Indian National Science Academy) Visiting Fellowship in 2006. He has worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Optoelctronic Laboratory, Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA during March-August, 2007. He was awarded the BOYSCAST Fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India for the year 2010-11 to carry out some advance research in the Max-Born-Institute, Berlin, Germany during Sept.-Dec, 2011. Recently, he has been awarded the Man of the Year 2012 and Sir Isaac Newton Scientific Award of Excellence for 2012 by the American Biographical Institute. Dr. Jit is a Fellow, IETE (India) and Senior Member, IEEE (USA).

Dr. Ashok Kumar Saxena is a Professor in the IIT Roorkee/University of Roorkee Uttarakhand India. He has received his PH. D degree from Standard Telecom Lab, Harlow, U.K (1975–78). He is serving to the organization of IIT (Roorkee) from the year 1989 till date and has a rich research experience too. He is the author of various research books and is the recipient of awards: INSA Young Scientist Gold Medal, Khosla Award Gold Medal & Commendation Certificates, Bharat Excellence Award & Gold Medal of FFI 06 & 09, Chosen for rising personalities of India & gold medal and Bharat Jyoti Award, S.K. Prof. Brajesh Kumar Kaushik received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from D.C.R. University of Science and Technology, (formerly C. R. State College of Engineering) Murthal, Haryana in 1994. He received Master of Technology degree in Engineering Systems, from Dayalbagh Educational Institute-Agra, in 1997, and Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2007 under AICTE-QIP scheme from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He served Vinytics Peripherals Pvt. Ltd., Delhi as Research & Development Engineer in Microprocessor, Microcontroller and DSP processor based system design. He joined Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, G.B. Pant Engineering College, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India as Lecturer in July, 1998, where later he served as Assistant Professor from May, 2005 to May, 2006 and Associate Professor from May 2006 to Dec, 2009. He joined Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee as Assistant Professor in Dec, 2009; where since April 2014, he is working as Associate Professor. Dr. Kaushik is Senior Member of IEEE and member of many expert committees constituted by Government and Non-Government organizations. He has extensively published in several national and international journals and conferences of repute. He has received many awards and recognitions from International Biographical Center (IBC), Cambridge etc. His name has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Marquis Who’s Who in the World. His research interests are in the areas of High Speed Interconnects, Low power VLSI Design, Carbon Nanotube based Designs, Organic Electronics; FinFET Device Circuit Co-Design, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Spintronics based devices and circuits.

Dr. Nagendra Prasad Pathak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the University of IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India from October 2012 till date. He is a Vice Chairman IEEE Microwave Theory & Techniques Society, UP Chapter &Executive Committee Member IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section. His area of interest implies in the fields of Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits & Systems, Nano-photonics, Microwave/Millimeter Wave Integrated Circuits, Integrated Circuits for Nano Scale Wireless Links etc. He has received his Ph. D degree in the year 2005 from the University of IIT Delhi in the discipline of Millimeter Wave Integrated Circuits. He is having 10 years of rich experience in his relevant research area. He has contributed a keen to the Development of Laboratory along with that he handled administration responsibilities; Coordinator at IIT Roorkee Cultural Festival: THOMSO-2015, Member Departmental Research Committee (2013-15, 2009-10), Member Academic Review Committee (ARC) - ECE Department- 2013, Faculty Advisor (ECE), Cognizance - 2012, Member Co-ordination committee for manpower development in VLSI - Since 2009 – Till Date, Member Institute Library Advisory Committee (from Centre of Nanotechnology) 2008-2010, and Member in many Departments of Purchase and Academic Committees. He played an eminent role in the organization of various workshops/seminars, Invited Talks/QIP Lectures, R & D and Consultancy Sponsored Projects Handling etc. He is has published many of his research findings in the referred journals as well as presented around 60 papers in the conferences too.

Dr. Narendra Bahadur Singh is Chief Scientist in the Semiconductor Devices Area in CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute. He earned his postdoctoral in Integrated Electronic & Circuits from EE Department at I.I.T. Delhi, B Tech in ETE from JK Institute Allahabad University and B Sc from Allahabad University. Then he worked as a Scientist in CSIR-CEERI for more than 31 years. He is having 31 Years of Experience in the field of Microelectronics & VLSI Design, Semiconductor Device/Process and Circuit Modelling & Simulation and many other areas related to AI, CS and IT. He is the author of more than 50 papers, supervised more than 80 M. Tech./B. Tech./MCA/M.Sc. dissertations, twice recipient of institute awards, etc.

Dr. Piyush N. Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Electronics Engineering Department of S. V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Electronics Engineering from S. V. National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat in 2014. Then worked as a Assistant Professor in SVNIT, Surat Institute for 15 Years. He is having 15 Years of Experience in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. His Area of Expertise includes: Electronics & Communication Systems, Nanoscale Optical Devices and Sensors, WDM, DWDM Optical Communications, Optical Networks, Free Space Optics and Optical CO-OFDM.

Dr. Rajiv Kapoor is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Technological University, formerly Delhi College of Engineering. He received his Ph. D degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His areas of interest comprises of Image Processing, Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Power Quality and Cognitive Radio. His publication includes various papers in International Referred Journals, papers in international conference proceedings also. He has filed 6 patents in the last three years. He is the author of the book GATE 2016 in the subject of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Dr. Ravi Kumar Jatoth is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Deemed University of NIT Warangal, West Bengal, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in July 2014 from NIT Warangal. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad from the year 2005–2006. Then he worked as an Engineering Assistant in Door Darshan Prasaar Bharathi, Bhainsa; in total he gained in total approximately 11 years of rich experience. He published many papers in referral journals and organized/ attended various Workshop/SSTPs/Conferences too at national and international levels. He served as a Faculty Advisor Science and Hobby Club, from 2014, Incharge of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers Lab from 2012 to till date in NIT Warangal, West-Bengal, India.

Dr. Sajal K. Paul did his B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Radio Physics and Electronics from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta. He has served Webel Telecommunication Industries, Kolkata; Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Kolkata; Advanced Training Institute for Electronics & Process Instrumentation (ATI-EPI), Hyderabad; North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli and Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), Delhi in various capacities. He has served the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad as Head of the Department. At present he is Head of the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, Indian School of Mines and Professor of the Electronics Engineering Department. His research interest includes Microelectronic Devices, Electronic Properties of Semiconductor and Bipolar and MOS Analog Integrated Circuits. Dr. Paul has more than 100 research publications in International and National journals of repute and conferences.

Prof. Shafi Qureshi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, at the University of IIT Kanpur. He has received his Ph. D degree from the University of California, Berkeley, USA in the year 1991. He has taught at University of Malaysia, Sarawak during one year sabbatical (December 2002). His research experiences and area of expertise includes Semiconductor Device Physics and Modeling, VLSI Circuit Design, RFID Tag Chip Design etc. He is a Senior Member IEEE followed by Fellow IETE and also a Life Member IARP. He has promoted VLSI Design activities in India at both the National as well as International levels. His recent project related activities is by being a Coordinator of Project on Special Manpower Development Program in VLSI Design and Related Software (SMDP-II) Sponsored by Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, India, year 2005–2010, Coordinator National RFID Programme, year 2009 onwards and by establishing CAD facilities for Mixed Signal and MEMS Design, year 2005–2006. He has also contributed the best for many journals and conference publications.

Dr. Sudeb Das Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the University of IIT Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India from the year 2006 till date. Previously he serves as an Assistant Professor at the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad (2005–2006). He received his Ph.D degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in the subject Electronics Engineering in the year 2000. His areas of interest are Ultra Low Power, Adiabatic Logic for Portable Applications, Low Power Application, Subthreshold Logic Design, Radiation Effects on ICs, Design and Development of 6T FinFET Based Rad Hard SRAM Cell, Novel Semiconductor Devices, FinFETs, PDSOI, FDSOI, Nanoelectronics and Semiconductor Device Modelling. Dr. Gupta has many research publications in International and National journals of repute and conferences. He is an Associate Member in the Institute of Nanotechnology, followed by EDS Member, ISTE Member as well as the IEEE Member. He is the recipient of various Honors and awarded by The Global Open University, The Netherlands (2001) as an Expert Member, followed by Technical Committee Member Award, IWPSD-2005 as The Best Paper Award, IUSSTF Fellow Award, Erasmus Mundus Fellow Award, Marquis's Who's Who in Science in Engineering Award in USA, DAAD Fellow Award by the Institute of TU, Dresden, Deutschland.

Dr. V. Ramgopal Rao is the new Director of IIT Delhi. He is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai as well. He was the first elected chairman for the Indian Section of the American Nano Society. Ramgopal Rao got his B. Tech. degree from Kakatiya University in 1986 and his M. Tech. from IIT Bombay in 1991. Dr. Ramgopal Rao has more than 350 publications in various journals and 29 patents in the areas of electronic devices and nanoelectronics. Ramgopal Rao was the first elected chairman for the Indian Section of the American Nano Society. His area of expertise includes nanoelectronics, CMOS Reliability, Bio-MEMS, MOSFET’s, Molecular Electronics etc. Prof. Rao's work is recognized with many awards and honors in the country and abroad. He is a recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Engineering Sciences in 2005, Techno-Mentor award from the Indian Semiconductor Association in 2009 and the IBM Faculty Award in 2007. He is one of the few pathfinders of Indian nano fabrication.
